Ashley is a fully licensed and insured Cosmetologist, with multiple certifications in Permanent Makeup, Laser Treatments, Eyelash Extensions, and Tattooing.

Growing up on the Gold Coast of Long Island, Ashley has always had an eye for beauty. From a young age, she immersed herself in the world of art, fantasy, and design. Throughout high school, she won several drawing and painting contests, and at the age of 17, she received a scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, where her love for drawing and painting flourished. In 2007, Ashley graduated from the Brittany Beauty Academy and received her Cosmetology license. After having her daughter, she decided to pursue tattooing. She bought her first really crappy tattoo machine, and taught herself how to tattoo. Luckily, she had a lot of room left on her own body to practice.

Ashley has dabbled in many avenues of the beauty industry. She spent years as a laser hair removal technician, where she learned to truly appreciate communicating with her clients. Learning about their lives and experiences through the hilarious, relatable, and sometimes sad, but humbling stories they would share. She grew to love the communication, the therapeutic side of her encounters, the networking, the trust between her and the clients, and the lasting relationships she built over the years.

Combining her love for tattoos, art, and makeup, Ashley decided to pursue Permanent Makeup. Her dream from the time she was a young child, was to own a small business. So she set out to do just that. With immense love and support from her family and friends, she has persevered, and hasn’t stopped since.

Today, she is the owner of Scarlett Beauty (Formerly Scarlett Ink).. a sacred, safe, and inclusive little studio in Oyster Bay, NY.
